INTRODUCTION
WELCOME TO Pioden (pronounced: pee-or-den). This blog features all news and photos from the litter of Pug puppies I am helping to raise. The mother is called Madge and she is six years old. She's my mother's dog but is a family pet. Due to the work involved in raising puppies, and the fact that I adore babies of all kinds, I always help out. I have raised a seven-puppy litter before; when I'm not raising puppies I work as a dog-sitter. HISTORY Madge successfully raised seven puppies in the beginning of 2006. My mother kept one of the boys, Fall Out Boy, and he will be going to Crufts next year. While I kept one of the girls, Sweepie, who will be having a litter of her own when she's old enough. Madge visited the same dog as last time, so the puppies born now will be true brothers and sisters to the original litter.
My mother is a qualified vet-nurse so everything is done very safely and for the best interest of Madge.

Make sure the animals are well looked after and kept in a clean environment. If you are buying a Pedigree dog only buy one with the correct papers - if they don't have papers then they are not Pedigree dogs, or have been acquired illegally. Raising puppies is a time-consuming and expensive venture. Please think carefully before breeding with your dog.
To stop unwanted pregnancies you should get your dog neutered. For females that takes place after their first season; for males it can be done at any time.
